Just bought Hart's book to pour over in advance of this weekend's sermon. Thanks Craig for reminding me of it. Thanks be to God for Amazon and Kindle format purchases.

Hart is one of my favorite theologians, and really nails it on the head. It comes out of a short essay he wrote for the Wall Street Journal. Beautiful.

I will be curious to hear your thoughts about the larger work (before I invest my own limited book funds. I'm saving up to read Crossan's The First Paul). I posted some of my own thoughts on your excerpted quote and the issue of God and natural disaster at my own blog today as well:

Hopefully I'll have finished the book by Sat. and it will help inform the sermon on Sunday. I'll let you know Jeffrey.
